Plans for sowing early grain crops have been completed in Primorye by almost a third

11 thousand hectares of early grain crops have been sown today in Primorye. Spring field work is being actively carried out in almost all regions of the region.

According to the director of the regional department of agriculture and food Denis Bochkarev, 13 municipal districts have started sowing early grain crops.

“Currently, 11,000 hectares have been sown, which is 27% of the plan. In 2015, 1.2 thousand hectares were sown on this date. 60,000 hectares of moisture have been closed, which is six times higher than last year,” the director of the department said.

According to him, spring field work is now underway in all areas except the northern ones.

“In the near future, spring field work is expected to begin in Dalnerechensky, Krasnoarmeysky, Lesozavodsky and Pozharsky districts,” said Denis Bochkarev.

Recall, according to the vice-governor of Primorsky Krai Sergey Sidorenko, in 2016, it is planned to increase the sown area from 5 to 20% in all districts. In general, it is planned to increase the sown area by 30,000 hectares in the region
