The Governor of the Altai Territory spoke about China's plans for Russian grain

Alexander Karlin hopes that the Altai Territory will process grain on its own, and will sell deep processing to China

The head of the region believes that Altai grain should be processed in the region, and delivered to China already in the form of finished products or deep processing, he expressed this opinion at the Medialog on Friday, January 15.

“For obvious reasons, I am a categorical supporter of grain processing products being exported from the Altai Territory. I will be extremely satisfied if our Chinese partners buy flour, cereals, pasta, even wonderful puff buns from us, they can be delivered in time, ”Governor Alexander Karlin said in response to a journalist’s question about the agreement between Russia and China on the conditions for the supply of wheat.

Recall that the agreement was reached at the end of last year. So, for 2016, it is planned to supply at least 300-350 thousand tons.

According to the head of the region, Altai has significant reserves of processing capacity.

“I think our grain processors will find mechanisms for interaction with our peasants, that they were more interested in selling their products to our processors,” the head of the region believes.
