According to the results of 2015, the gross harvest of buckwheat in the Altai Territory amounted to 410 thousand tons. This is almost twice as much as last year.
Crops of buckwheat occupied 467 thousand hectares, or 51% of the harvested area in Russia.
“This is the highest figure in the entire history of growing crops in the region,” Governor Alexander Karlin said on November 26 at the Day of the Agricultural and Processing Industry Worker.
