In 2016, five agricultural enterprises will grow soybeans. In the general structure of crops, its area will occupy 510 hectares and they will be placed in Zabaikalagro LLC in the village of Tselinny, Krasnokamensky District, Urulyungui LLC and the farm of Vladislav Mungalov, Priargunsky District, as well as in Komsomolets Breeding Plant LLC, Chernyshevsky District and K ( F)H Valery Sterlikov, Karymsky district.
“This crop has been grown in the region for several years, but if in 2015 soybean crops amounted to just over one hundred hectares, this year there is already more area, and the number of farms wishing to grow soybeans has increased. There is no need to talk about any large-scale sown areas and volumes, while for many farm managers the cultivation of this crop is at an experimental stage. Last year, even in drought conditions, soybean yield
averaged 7.6 centners per hectare from the harvested area. Plus, economic efficiency: today this product is in demand on the market at a fairly favorable price. Therefore, we will definitely be engaged in soybean production,” said Roman Katnikov, head of the crop production department.
